Six months already....

Time seriously flies with this little guy. I swear tomorrow he's gonna ask for the keys to the truck. He turned 6 months on Saturday, so we took him to the National Western Stock Show. It was a fun time - kind of like a fair on a lot of steriods, only without the carnival.

Misc. stuffs

Been a while. Here are a few of the WD (Whitdog) from around Christmas. He got pretty sick last week from a virus called RSV. Thankfully we took him to the doc in time so that it didn't require any hospital stays. As always, he's a joy to have in our lives.

Snow sliding

Four of us strapped on our skis today for the first day of the 2009/10 winter. Got in a few laps at a popular backcountry destination west of town. Snow wasn't great. In fact, in a lot of places it was terrible and non-existent in others. Surprisingly non-windy considering the location, and the warmer weather was nice. Overall not a bad first day, and the exercise was great. Forgot to grab the cam before we left, so no pixels on the screen.

Sausage

Mandy got me a really unique and great gift for my birthday this year. Actually there were two of them: two cooking classes from a place called "Come Back to the Table." That's really a gift that keeps on giving the whole year. One of the classes was about making sausage. We hoped that I would use the class to make some elk sausage after elk season this year, but since I muffed both of the opportunities for cow elk that fell in my lap, we won't be using elk for sausage. But I digress.

The class was great. We learned how to make several different kinds of sausage: breakfast, Italian, chorizo, chicken spinach, brats, andouille, and several others. So I put the class to work not long ago and made some pork breakfast sausage. It was tons of fun, and I don't think I'll need to buy sausage from the store anytime soon.

Happiest Baby?

There's a book out there about baby raising called "The Happiest Baby on the Block." I think it was written about Whit. Here's why:
